half hour. for now live in oakland christian captain, ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> we are also watching developing news a search for a suspect in milpitas, there was an officer involved shooting there, jeanine is live and tell us about this manhunt and how this is affecting traffic. >> that's right, no cars are being allowed and you can see it is closed between campbell all the way to arizona because police are investigating a shooting and suching for a suspect. chp told us this was an officer involved shooting and they say all officers should be on the lookout for a tan honda. they were making a traffic stop when the shooting took place and at this point it is unknown if anything took place and they have been gathering evidence and taking pictures. we have seen at least one bullet casing on the ground. people who live nearby are being stopped by the police tape and they have lots of questions because they say shootings just don't happen here. >> having any kind of violence or shooting in this neighborhood is very rare so you know it is kind of scary that -- you know i hope peo

wong, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> and ktvu mark tamayo has noticed a change in the wind over the past few hours. mark is live at the richmond/san rafael toll plaza with what drivers can expect. >> reporter: hi, tori. the rainfall has picked you and the winds have, too. the winds are gonna add problems. you can see the wind is to the too strong, about 2 to 3 miles an hour. very light but about a minute ago, this gust was around 16, 17 miles an hour. the national weather service has issued the wind advisory that steve will be talking about. this is a recent development probably for the last five minutes. i've been tracking a few light showers. the weather pattern has been changing. with that the cybers, if the drivers -- drivers, if they do encounter the winds, you get the southerly winds hitting the side of your car. it's not too bad here but once you cross the span, it could notice your lane condition. so be careful of that and the skyline, a lot of storm clouds out there. within the last five minutes, those rain showers have been pushing back into the region -- steve, i can verify that,

happening right now the black friday rush under way in san francisco. let's go out to ktvu channel 2 reporter alex savidge who is at the westfield mall in san francisco. doors just opened right? >> yes the madness under way here. take a look. this is westfield shopping center right on market street in san francisco. they just opened those doors a few seconds ago. the crowd here erupted in a big cheer as the folks from the shopping center opened the doors and they are inside the mall right now. they are heading off to try to find the best deals they can possibly find on this black friday. a lot of stores in this area have been open since midnight but of course the mall here opening up at 5:00. i want to show you this line that is still going on. these are hundreds of people who have been camped out here overnight. they are all waiting to get inside the abercrombie and fitch store where apparently for the first hour or so the deals will be 50% off. we talked to some of these folks they have been waiting a long time. >> we have pretty much been down here since 6:00 p.m.. trying to see w

, janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> happening now, a police standoff ended on treasure island a little while ago. christien kafton has been on this story since 4:30 this morning. what do you know now? >> reporter: police are confirming that this standoff did end with the suspect dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. we're on treasure island. keep in mind. you can see what appears to be the suspect's vehicle. the suspect's body was just taken from the scene here. he held off police for about five hours here with a gun to his head. police are now allowing cars to come and go from the island. they are using just one lane, though, so access to treasure island is somewhat restricted because they are allowing inbound traffic to come in and then they will stop and allow outbound traffic for a little while. people were stranded for hours as a situation developed on treasure island. we have video of the suspect sitting on a railing bite right -- right by the way. this all started as a police pursuit that began near mason and bush around 11:00 last night. police got a 911
